If you are interested in registering for our after-school programs, please keep in mind:

  • PTA membership is required to register for any of our after school programs. Check your membership status or join now!
  • Classes must meet minimum enrollment, otherwise the class will be cancelled. Please enroll early if you are interested in a class. 
  • All students will need a personal device that supports Zoom to participate in our after school programs. BSD-issued laptops block all video-conferencing platforms and unapproved web content, including all formats of Zoom.
  • While parents do not need to be there physically for the entire duration of an online class, parents are expected to support their child to log into the class, use the technology as needed to be successful, and to moderate good behavior to the teachers. Art by AL Studio

AL Studo is a creative-arts academy. Students learn techniques used by classical artists which include how to use pastels, watercolors, oils, pencils, etc. Our students have won prizes statewide and nationwide. Our instructors are from Seattle local, west states and China, all have an art major degree and art education experience.

Foreign Language by Sagalingua Language & Cultural Coaching 

Designed for kids who wants to learn basic language skills while having fun. All teachers are native speakers with prior teaching experience with children. They practice reading books, working on arts and crafts, singing, and playing games to involve kids in the immersion program. 

 

Refund Policy: A refund is possible before the 2nd session. The refund will be pro-rated based on how many sessions the student participated in. After the 2nd session, there will be no refunds available.

Minecraft - Harry Potter Custom Builds & Events by Lavner Camps

At Minecraft™ – Harry Potter Custom Builds & Events, immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter within Minecraft™ by designing and building some of the famous buildings from the Harry Potter universe, using redstone to create magic special effects, as well as using a custom magic plugin to design and create magic Harry Potter-themed minigames.

Spy Tech with Among Us by Lavner Camps 

Calling all agents. There is an impostor among us! We need you to use your special skills and deductive reasoning to determine who is sus and help us take them down.

 

Hone your spy skills with special lessons that will teach you how to tell when someone is lying, how to go undetected and gain trust, and other important abilities that every spy needs.

 

Students will play the hit game Among Us and learn how to solve the case quickly as an expert detective and pull off impressive impostor plays that will shock their friends! Students will learn special strategies and play fun and hilarious settings! All competitions will be held in private Lavner Education Lobbies with supervision.

 

To maintain secrecy, agents will develop their own secret code, so they can send messages to each other or their friends without appearing suspicious.

 

Each class, students will be selected at random to be the “impostor” and will have special missions they need to complete without detection from the rest of the camp. Do you think you have what it takes to pull it off?

Our Little Coders class is an opportunity for young children to develop their computational thinking skills, build their first programs, and have fun with new friends! The curriculum is designed specifically for early readers and takes into account cognitive abilities as well as the attention span typical for ages 5-7. We use age appropriate online tools, including Lightbot, Kodable, and Scratch to introduce basic coding skills. After the class, students will be able to share their projects with family and friends and continue programming at home with their Coding with Kids Scratch account.

Roblox (Grades 3-5)

Creating Roblox games is a fun way for campers to learn and practice programming! Each camper will be able to create different custom games with Lua code, a language very similar to JavaScript and Python. With the largest user-generated online gaming platform, Roblox is the #1 gaming site for kids and teens (via comScore). Our Roblox camp is a great way to build on this interest and have kids learn to code. They can then publish their game and share it with friends on PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Amazon Devices, and Xbox One.

Class Description:

Here students learn about forensic science and become a SciGenius detective! Students will learn about investigative techniques and use chemistry, molecular biology, and physics to explore mysteries throughout the sessions. For instance, our students will have to solve the mystery of Who Stole the Cookies one week. They’ll learn how forensic experts use science to discover the hidden clues left behind at crime scenes and how that helps investigators solve difficult cases. Discover the unseen world of chemicals, molecules and genetics in this program of inquiry and exploration!

Set your future space explorers on a trajectory from our Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system! This hands-on program will bring children closer to the stars, planets, comets, and more. Learn about living in space, getting away from gravity, looking for space phenomena, and building rockets! Each day, students receive new challenges and missions that keep camp exciting and fresh.

Studio East has provided high-quality theater classes, workshops, and productions to local schools since 1992. Our drama classes give students a safe environment to learn: Confidence, Self-esteem, Team-building, Responsibility, Time Management, Literacy, Public Speaking, Perseverance, and, 21st Century Skills! 

  

WINTER: 

In this mini-musical drama class, students learn basic rehearsal techniques and vocabulary as they put together a show! This original script based on Disney's Frozen features enough roles for every student, and some of your favorite songs. This class will take place on Zoom and you'll receive a link via e-mail before class starts. The final performance will be recorded and sent out after class.

Basics of Rock 'n' Roll by School of Rock

School of Rock Bellevue offers an interactive workshop called Basics of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Kids will dive into the prominent eras of the genre as well as the roles that rhythm, performance, and technology all played in its formation. The group will work through playlists, discuss the cultural relevance of Rock, and the influence that its history has on music today. Through this overview, we hope to stoke future flames of artistry and show the kids how fun creating can be as they explore some of the legends of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
